Tweaking to a whole new era
Obama’s victory tonight has inspired a re-play (in my head) of one of my favorite lyrics from the ’90s rap song, Regulate:

Yeah, Obama is tweakin’ us to a whole new era - he’s a regulator all right:

OK, Antihero’s web site sucks, and Mission Skateboards only has a private myspace account (why private if you’re a business!?), but I don’t care, cuz both have made my skate dreams come true with my new Cardiel board. Yeah, that’s right. I’m 30 and just bought a skateboard. But I’m psyched ‘cuz any riding on a board with wind in my (short) hair feels great. I’m still working on making my moves sick and gnar, but i’m having fun practicing in the meantime. P.S. This is an awesome documentary on John Cardiel - inspiring!

Tomorrow I head to Calistoga, CA for some much needed R&R on the second week of my vacation before starting a rockin’ gig at AKQA. I’m psyched for my spa appointment at Indian Springs. I’ve been wanting to go there for years! I can’t wait to kick back, read a book, spend time with a BFF and spoil my body silly!

holla: peter and tricia's (old) place on Apartment Therapy
Pete and Trish are definitely one of my favorite couples, and here they are as fabulous as ever, being featured *again* in apartment therapy for “color month” for their 2007 apartment tour. Believe me, their new pad is just as fabulous and colorful. I totally credit Trish for their style, as she’s been also a fashion inspiration to me (pete, you know I love you, but trish has the style cred).

I’m so ready to get my carve on - here’s one of my jack o’lanterns from last year, which I snagged on an awesome day trip to Dell’Osso Family Farms in Lathrop, CA. I suspect I won’t be shooting pumpkins out of cannons or getting lost in a corn maze this year, but I’m sure I’ll bring home the perfect pumpkins to spook my home.
